Interview: Joe Thomas, Mr. February 2017
Please give a heartfelt welcome to this month’s featured firefighter, Joe Thomas. Joe is a firefighter at Buckley Fire Department and has served as a firefighter for the last eight years. He did not always want to be a firefighter, as a young boy he aspired to be a police officer. We are glad Joe took the route of becoming a firefighter instead.
His favorite memory of his time thus far with CFC is his experience at burn camp. Joe enjoyed his time playing with the kids and making them feel like their burn injuries no longer existed.
Joe was asked which piece of firefighting equipment he would take with him if he was stranded on a deserted island and he chose the radio because he could call for help.
His hero is his mom. He said that if he could be half the amazing person she is in life, then he would be blessed.
Joe credits his workout regimen, diet, and horseback riding for keeping him in tip top calendar shape. CFC is grateful for your dedication to your job and to the calendar!
