Interview: Nathaniel Romero, Mr. August 2017

Please meet Mr. August 2017, Nathaniel Romero. Nathaniel has been a career firefighter with South Adams County Fire Department for over 6 years. He knew he wanted to be a firefighter after talking with a firefighter on the side of road that was collecting money in the boot for MDA.

Nathaniel is constantly inspired by his hero in his life, his mom. His mom has a strong work ethic that helped her to raise and support her own siblings and then her own children.

Nathaniel’s favorite memory of being in the calendar was spending the day at Burn Camp Last Summer. He enjoyed play day by getting the kids involved in activities and games that helped build their self confidence and sense of teamwork. Nathaniel attributes his job as a firefighter for keeping him in calendar shape over this past year. He likes to work hard while on the job and constantly train to be physically prepared for all situations. The Colorado Firefighter Calendar appreciates Nathaniel’s involvement in the 2017 calendar, as his attendance at events and selling calendars on his own has helped us increase our annual donation to the Burn Center and Burn Camps Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

The Colorado Firefighter Calendar is a group effort and without the help and support of hundreds of great people it would not be possible.
