INTERVIEW: MR. DECEMBER 2019 - JOHN PADILLA
Make it a December to remember and get into the spirit of the season with Mr. December, John, from Denver Fire!
John is a native Coloradoan, he grew up as a son of a firefighter. He saw how rewarding a career in firefighting was for his dad, that he knew it would be his career path. “The reality of working as a team to help others at times in dire need, appealed to me,” states John.
John’s number one heroes are his Dad and Grandpa. They have shown, taught and helped him to become the man and father he is today! He is happily married, with two beautiful teenage children.
Landing a calendar page in the Colorado Firefighter Calendar was definitely on John’s bucket list. He used this experience as a means to commit himself to get into great shape. He also wanted to be part of a team of people who give everything for the greater good. John had to make some sacrifices unlike he has ever made in his life. A few years ago, “I had a Dad Bod, so I decided on January 1st I was going to change my diet, exercise five days a week and tell myself I want to look and feel better than I ever have in my life. I feel that I have done that and I wanted to share my results with all of you!”
John enjoys a great ribeye steak and loves cheesecake. He views himself as genuine, surprising and optimistic. And if you remember, or got one of his bracelets at the 2019 Try-Outs he was known as the Sexi Mexi! We couldn’t agree more.
